RJ Hunt is a talent discovery and development initiative by RadioUdaan that identifies, nurtures, and trains aspiring radio jockeys with disabilities. It provides an inclusive platform for participants to explore their creativity, develop their communication skills, and discover the power of their voices.
Throug this Competition, Individuals showcase their talent, participants build confidence in voice modulation, presentation, storytelling, and audience engagement. The initiative challenges stereotypes about disability in the media industry and promotes greater representation of persons with disabilities in broadcasting and digital audio platforms.
By making the entire programme accessible through online editions, RJ Hunt enables aspiring talents to participate from different locations and pursue their passion for radio without geographical barriers.

Season 5 – RJ Hunt 2025
Your Mic, Your Story!
The fifth season of RJ Hunt invited aspiring radio jockeys to share their voices, creativity, and passion for broadcasting. The online competition provided an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their presentation skills and compete for cash prizes and a potential internship with Radio Udaan.
Competition format: Three rounds conducted online.
Prize categories
- First Prize: ₹11,000
- Second Prize: ₹5,100
- Third Prize: ₹3,100
Internship opportunity: Winners were offered the opportunity to complete a six-month online internship with Radio Udaan. The prize payment was structured in two parts, with the remaining amount payable upon successful completion of the internship, according to the competition terms.
Season 4 – RJ Hunt 2023
Season 4 continued Radio Udaan’s efforts to discover and encourage aspiring radio jockeys through an accessible, online competition. Participants were invited to demonstrate their creativity, communication skills, and ability to engage an audience through recorded presentations.
Competition format: Three online rounds.

- First Prize: ₹10,000
- Second Prize: ₹5,100
- Third Prize: ₹3,100
Winners were also offered an opportunity to work with Radio Udaan through a six-month online internship, subject to the programme conditions.
Season 3 – RJ Hunt 2022
Season 3 continued the search for fresh radio talent, inviting participants to showcase their voices and presentation abilities through an online competition. The initiative offered aspiring radio jockeys an opportunity to earn recognition and explore a pathway to working with Radio Udaan.
Competition format: Three online rounds.
Prize categories: The original announcement listed cash prizes for the top three positions; the exact first-prize amount should be verified against the official announcement before publication.
Season 2 – RJ Hunt
Season 2 expanded the opportunity for aspiring radio jockeys to demonstrate their talent through an online competition. Participants could submit recorded presentations and progress through multiple rounds, with winners receiving cash prizes and an opportunity to work with Radio Udaan.
The season continued the initiative’s focus on discovering diverse voices and making broadcasting opportunities more accessible.
