The 6th edition of the Sabal Awards 2026 is now open, celebrating the talent, resilience, creativity and contributions of Persons with Disabilities and changemakers working towards a more inclusive world. The awards recognise achievements across areas including singing, painting, dance, inclusive arts, poetry and essay, instrumental music, musical ensembles, changemakers, role models, Saathi and rural innovation. Radio Udaan is proud to be the media partner for the fest. The competition offers participants an opportunity to showcase their singing talent on a national platform. Finalists will receive food, travel and accommodation support for the final competition in Delhi. Eligibility: Persons with visual impairment, aged 18–35 years, with a valid UDID Card/Disability Certificate and government-issued age proof. Last date to register: 5 October 2026 .Rising Star India 2026 Rising Star India 2026 is a National Personality & Talent Contest for Persons with Visual Impairment, organised by NAB Delhi as part of Purple Fest Delhi 2026. The contest celebrates personality, confidence, style, talent and self-expression, giving participants an opportunity to take centre stage and showcase their individuality. Participants will learn how to: Structure a job-ready resume Write effective resume summaries, skills and experience sections Create and format a resume accessibly using a screen reader Make resumes ATS-friendly and professional Avoid common resume mistakes Date: 26 September 2026 Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM IST Platform: Zoom Trainer: Radio Udaan Team The workshop is open to Persons with Visual Impairment, students, working professionals, job seekers and anyone interested in creating a professional resume. .AS I AM – Visual Storytelling Competition AS I AM is a visual storytelling competition that places people with disabilities at the centre of their own stories. The competition offers prizes worth over ₹10 lakh and features a jury including R. Balki, Santosh Sivan, Josy Paul and Manasi Joshi, among others. Photographers are invited to participate and help create visual stories that move beyond stereotypes of disability.
